Play Reading Club – SAWITRI Theatre & Nautanki Bazaar Productions

SAWITRI Theatre, in association with Nautanki Bazaar Productions, are back with the Play Reading Club Mississauga on Sat, 14 Oct at 6pm, with the reading of Vijay Tendulkar’s “Silence! The Court is in Session” – A mock trial during the rehearsal of a play quickly turns into a gripping drama about desire, gender issues, power and control.
A classic of Indian Theatre, Vijay Tendulkar got national recognition in the form of the Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay Award for drama in 1970 and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama) in 1970 for playwriting.
